VISION: Entrepreneurship Opportunities for All Youth
MISSION: To provide leadership for the youth entrepreneurship movement.
GOALS:
· Leveraging the collective goals of diverse stakeholders
· Providing a unified voice and advocacy for youth entrepreneurship education
· Promoting the availability of research that advances the field of youth entrepreneurship
· Building a support system for entrepreneurship education nationwide
➢ The Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education is composed of various member organizations and individuals nationwide that advocate entrepreneurship education as a lifelong learning process and recognize the need for support systems for entrepreneurship educators, especially at the local and state levels.
➢ The Youth Entrepreneurship Alliance is composed of national leadership organizations that are focused on impacting on youth entrepreneurship education growth and major policy strategies at the national level to expand the field.
Plans Underway for Year I -
• Website development and maintenance - necessary for communications to the field and between members
• Participation in selected national conferences and meetings that have potential for partnership development and significant contacts
• Contacts to build membership of important national groups that support the YEA mission and goals
• Resource development to support the work of the Alliance including contacts and proposal development
• Seek strategies to enhance youth entrepreneurship, especially for at risk youth.
• Materials/documents creation and publication -
• Regular communication with Members and networks - Email, Twitter, FaceBook to pull national leaders to the website
• Press release activity introducing YEA
• Plans for June meeting (Aspen Institute)
• Monthly phone conference with Members -
